PROVERBS 3:5 & MATTHEW 6:24
"Trust in the LORD with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding;"
“No one can serve two masters. Either you will hate the one and love the other, or you will be devoted to the one and despise the other. You cannot serve both God and money."
A few months go by and I felt it in my heart that this was no longer the place for me. When God sends us somewhere it's not always permanent. Sometimes it is for a temporary purpose. God laid it on my heart and I trusted Him even though I did not see His vision. Proverbs 3:5 Trust in the Lord with all thy heart and do not lean on thy own understanding. I personally believe you owe your employer your best work every day, but you don’t owe your employer your personal life, health or well-being. In order to be truly successful, boundaries must be set in our lives. Money is not everything and sometimes you will have to say, “No, this is too much for me” Life is too short. Find the balance. Matthew 6:24 No one can serve two masters, for he will hate the one and love the other or he will be devoted to the one and despise the other. You cannot serve both God and money.
I had to accept that not everyone is going to understand me. I took a step out on my faith and moved back home with my parents to try and figure out what was next. What I had figured out was my instilled faith in Him and I believed in the unforeseen things He was brewing. One cannot be full of faith and full of fear. I was intentional with my prayers. I was very specific. God wants you to ask Him for big things because He is an extraordinary God. Do not minimize your dreams nor your prayers. I prayed for a position where I could work with professional basketball players or a Division I basketball program in the south.
